[origin: US4736079A] The invention relates to improving the dielectric withstand of a puffer circuit breaker having a main circuit arranged side by side with an arcing circuit inside a sealed insulating casing filled with an insulating gas SF6. The disconnection area arranged between the main contacts when the main circuit opens is located facing the breaking gap between the arcing contacts. The fixed main contact and the fixed arcing contact are at the potential of the upper terminal, being located at appreciably the same level on either side of the longitudinal axis of the casing.

L'invention consiste à améliorer la tenue diélectrique d'un disjoncteur à autosoufflage ayant un circuit principal (14) disposé côte à côte avec un circuit d'arc (20) à l'artérieur d'une enveloppe (12) étanche isolante remplie d'un gaz isolant SF 6. La zone de sectionnement (74) ménagée entre les contacts principaux (16, 18), lors de l'ouverture du circuit principal (14) est agencée en regard de l'intervalle de coupure (78) entre les contacts d'arc (22, 24). Le contact principal fixe (16) et le contact d'arc fixe (22) se trouvent au potentiel de la borne supérieure (32), en étant disposés sensiblement à un même niveau de part et d'autre de l'axe longitudinal de l'envelope (12).
