Method of applying multi-directional vibrations to a resilient support, wherein unidirectional vibrations are applied to said support from a source of unidirectional vibrations, characterised in that there is simultaneously impressed on the source of unidirectional vibrations a rotary movement in a plane parallel to that of said support which is fixed in rotation.

L'excentrique 17 du générateur de vibrations unidirectionnelles coopère avec un organe de forme sphérique 20 monté pour tourner librement sur la face inférieure de la table vibrante 3 reliée au socle 1 par l'intermédiaire de ressorts 2. Le générateur de vibrations unidirectionnelles est porté par un plateau 5 parallèle à la table vibrante 3 et qui est entraîné en rotation autour d'un axe X-X qui lui est perpendiculaire, sous l'action d'un moteur 9. Cette rotation du générateur de vibrations unidirectionnelles assure l'application de vibrations multidirectionnelles à la table 3. L'invention s'applique en particulier au tassage par vibrations du sable de fonderie sur un modèle pour la réalisation d'un moule.
