Along a cable track A, following a directional apparatus, two pairs of feed rollers 6, 8 and 10, 12 are provided, one of which is arranged in front of a measuring wheel 14 and the other one of which is arranged behind the latter in the direction of running. A drive motor 20 is drive-connected to all feed rollers via a transmission 22 by means of which the pair of feed rollers 10, 12 behind the measuring wheel is driven and a slightly greater peripheral speed than the one in front of the measuring wheel. The feed rollers 6, 8 arranged in front of the measuring wheel have a greater diameter than those of the other pair 10, 12. The measuring wheel 14 is drive-connected to a pulse transmitter 18 whilst another pulse transmitter 72 is rotationally rigidly connected to the drive motor 20. The signals of the two pulse transmitters are supplied to a microprocessor for comparison. Since the cable between the two pairs of feed rollers is held under tension at any time, this represents a quasi-rigid drive connection to the measuring wheel, which enables the latter to supply an accurate measuring result. Accordingly, the device allows cable sections of an accurately predetermined length to be conveyed at high speed for further processing. <IMAGE>

Entlang einer Kabelbahn A sind nach einem Richtapparat zwei Paare von Vorschubrollen 6, 8 und l0, l2 vorgesehen, von denen das eine in Laufrichtung vor einem Messrad l4 und das andere hinter demselben angeordnet ist. Ein Antriebsmotor 20 steht über ein Getriebe 22 mit allen Vorschubrollen in Antriebsverbindung, durch welches das Paar von Vorschubrollen l0, l2 hinter dem Messrad mit einer geringfügig grösseren Umfangsgeschwindigkeit angetrieben wird als jenes vor dem Messrad. Die vor dem Messrad angeordneten Vorschubrollen 6, 8 haben einen grösseren Durchmesser als jene des anderen Paares l0, l2. Das Messrad l4 steht mit einem Impulsgeber l8 in Antriebsverbindung, während ein weiterer Impulsgeber 72 drehstarr mit dem Antriebsmotor 20 verbunden ist. Die Signale der beiden Impulsgeber werden einem Microprozessor zum Vergleich zugeführt. Da das Kabel zwischen den beiden Paaren von Vorschubrollen in jedem Zeitpunkt gespannt gehalten wird, stellt dieses zum Messrad eine quasi starre Antriebsverbindung her, womit dieses in der Lage ist, ein genaues Messergebnis zu liefern. Die Vorrichtung gestattet demnach, Kabelabschnitte von genau vorbestimmter Länge mit grosser Geschwindigkeit für die weitere Verarbeitung zu fördern.
