[origin: EP0240614A2] In a device for locking a flap, which is swivel-mounted on hinges, at the edge of a container opening, preferably an opening in the upper part of a motorcycle case, two identical connecting rods of special construction are provided which are displaceable by a gearwheel which can be rotated from the outside by means of an actuating part in such a way that the flap is pressed by preferably three bolts firmly and securely against the outer edge of the opening formed in the upper part of the container or motorcycle case. The locking position of the device according to the invention can be secured by an additionally provided lock.
