[origin: EP0240834A1] There is provided, arranged on either side of a transport path for the recording support (3), a pair of fixing rollers (1, 2) which roll off one another with a predetermined contact pressure. Of these, at least the fixing roller (1) facing the toner material (5) can be heated and moistened with a thin surface layer of silicone oil. This is conveyed via an arrangement (6, 7, 8, 9) to the oil supply. The latter has a pipe endpiece (71) made of porous material and, in contact therewith, a pressure cushion (8) which is also made of porous and additionally heat-resistant material. The pipe endpiece and the pressure cushion are arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the associated fixing roller (1) in such a manner that the pressure cushion bears against the surface of the fixing roller over a large area. <IMAGE>
