[origin: EP0240931A1] Power wrench, in which, with the aid of an adjustable supporting foot (10), the torque reaction occurring during the screwing process, with piston-actuated swivelling of a clamping lever (4) by a clamping wheel (6) working in the manner of a ratchet, can be diverted to an outer abutment. For simple adjustability, the supporting foot (10) can be introduced to variable depths into a recess (2) penetrating into the housing (1) of the power wrench, which recess in cross-section preferably has the shape of a bone widened at the ends, or a dumbbell, and runs through the housing (1) transversely to the direction of movement of the working piston (5) for swivelling the clamping lever (4).
