1. A roll stand comprising a roll (2) which is stationarily mounted in a support structure (1) and at least one displaceable roll (4), wherein, in relation to a respective roll bearing side, the bearing journals (8', 8) of the stationary roll (2) and the displaceable roll (4) are each accommodated in a respective bearing (for example 11', 11) and the displaceable roll (4) is adjustable relative to the stationarily mounted roll (2) by means of a control member (13) and is biased by means of a force-producing member (for example 45), characterised in that the control member is arranged directly between the bearings (11', 11) of the stationary roll (2) and the displaceable roll (4), that the stationary roll (2) and the displaceable roll (4) are each provided with a respective further bearing (for example 12', 12), that the respective two bearings of each roll journal are disposed side by side, that the force-producing member, acting in opposition to the control member (13), is arranged between said further bearings (12', 12; 52', 52) and that the force-producing member is in the form of a spring element (45; 55) for the purposes of variation in length in dependence on the control force.

Bei einem Walzengerüst mit feststehend gelagerter (2) und zustellbarer Walze (4) soll eine hohe Genauigkeit bei der Einhaltung (insbesondere selbsttätigen Regelung) des Walzenspaltes (5) ohne extreme Anforderungen an die Lagerung der Walzenzapfen (8) erreicht werden. Dies gelingt durch Anordnung von zwei getrennten Radiallagern (11, 12) für jeden Zapfen (8) der zustellbaren Walze (4), wobei das eine Lager (11) mit einem geführten Stellorgan (hydraulischer Stellzylinder 13) und das andere Lager (12) mit einem entgegengesetzt wirkenden Kraftorgan (Stellzylinder 14) verbunden ist. Dies ergibt völlig spielfreie Lagerung und präzise Zustellung auch bei geringen Gegenkräften durch das Walzgut (6). Als Kraftorgan eignet sich auch ein mechanisch vorgespannter, elastischer Zuganker. Kraftorgan und Zugorgan können sich statt an dem Ständer (1) auch unmittelbar gegen die nicht zustellbare Walze (2) bzw. deren Lager abstützen, so daß Ständerverformungen sich nicht auf die Walzspalteinstellung auswirken. Anwendung insbesondere zum Fertigwalzen von Kunststoff- oder Metallfolien und für Kalanderwerke zum Beschichten von Materialbahnen.
