A cable crane has a cable crane truck (2) which can be moved along a carrying rope (1) under the action of a pulling rope (12) and from which a lifting rope (15) can be raised and lowered, in which arrangement a reel (13) which has three reel compartments (14, 16, 17) and to which a brake can be applied is rotatably provided on the cable crane (2), of which reel compartments (14, 16, 17) one (17) is provided for accommodating the return rope (18), a further (14) is provided for accommodating the pulling rope (12) and the third (13) is provided for accommodating the lifting rope (15). Ein Seilkran besitzt einen unter der Wirkung eines Zugseils (12) längs eines Tragseils (1) verfahrbaren Seilkranwagen (2), von dem aus ein Hubseil (15) anheb- und absenkbar ist, wobei am Seilkran (2) drehbar eine bremsbare Spule (13) mit drei Spulenfächern (14, 16, 17) vorgesehen ist, woven ein Spulenfach (17) zur Aufnahme des Rückholseils (18), ein weiteres (14) zur Aufnahme des Zugseils (12) und das dritte (16) zur Aufnahme des Hubseils (15) vorgesehen ist. Das Rückholseil (18) wird stets unter Spannung gehalten.
