[origin: FR2588952A1] To transfer an angle between two devices located at different points using an optical instrument, a corresponding code pattern is transmitted in one direction from a device located at a first point to wards the other device located at the second point, the angular information of the first device being contained in the code. The image of the code pattern received is collected by the receiving device and transmitted to a signal-processing installation. The latter recognises shifts in the code pattern image by comparing with a reference code which is preset or stored. The angular value to be transferred is deduced by calculating the value of such shifts. The first device may be equipped with a reflector which reflects a coded signal towards the second device and during this operation includes the angular information in the signal. The code used can be a one or two-dimension space code or a time-staggered code; the angular information desired is obtained from the shift along the axis of the code and/or its intensity distribution on the receiver side.

Pour reporter un angle entre deux dispositifs situés à des endroits différents en utilisant un instrument optique, on émet un code correspondant à une direction à partir d'un dispositif situé au deuxième endroit, l'information d'angle du premier dispositif situé à un premier endroit vers l'autre dispositif situé au deuxième endroit, l'information d'angle du premier dispositif étant contenue dans le code. L'image du code reçu est captée dans le dispositif de réception et transmise à une installation de traitement de signaux. Celle-ci reconnaît des décalage de l'image du code par comparaison avec un code de référence donné ou mémorisé. La valeur de l'angle à reporter est déduite par le calcul de la valeur de tels décalages. Le premier dispositif peut être muni d'un réflecteur qui réfléchit un signal codé reçu vers le deuxième dispositif et inscrit à cette occasion l'information d'angle dans le signal. Comme code on peut utiliser un code spatial à une ou deux dimensions ou un code échelonné dans le temps; l'information d'angle désirée est obtenue à partir du décalage le long de l'axe du code et/ou de la répartition de l'intensité côté récepteur.
