[origin: US4744923A] Alkylaminopolyethylene glycol ethers corresponding to the following formula <IMAGE> in which R represents a C6-C20 alkyl or alkenyl radical, R1 and R2 are the same or different and represent a C1-C8 alkyl radical and the indices m and n are the same or different and represent a number of from 3 to 20, with the proviso that the sum of m and n is from 5 to 25, are suitable as foam inhibitors for detergent preparations. The foam inhibitors are stable to strong alkalis and strong acids and may be used in concentrations of from 10 to 2500 ppm.

Als Schauminhibitoren für schwachschäumende Reinigungsmittel eignen sich Alkylamino-polyethylenglykolether der Formel <IMAGE> in der R einen Alkyl- oder Alkenylrest mit 6 bis 20 C-Atomen, die Reste R¹ und R² gleiche oder ungleiche Alkylreste mit 1 bis 8 C-Atomen und die Indices m und n gleiche oder verschiedene Zahlen von 3 bis 20 bedeuten. Die Summe der Zahlen m + n beträgt 5 bis 25. Die Schauminhibitoren sind gegenüber starken Alkalien und starken Säuren beständig. Ihre Anwendungskonzentration beträgt 10 bis 500 ppm.
