Abstract (en)
An injection set for use with an external infusion source of fluid such as insulin, constructed using multiwall tubing (10). The interior (12) of the multiwall tubing (10) is made of a material which is completely insulin compatible, such as polyethylene, while the exterior (16) of the multiwall tubing (10) is made of a material which may be solvent bonded such as flexible polyvinyl chloride. The multiwall tubing (10) facilitates solvent bonding of an insert moulded needle assembly (20,22) and a connector (30) to the ends of the tubing (10) without the use of epoxy bonding and its attendant disadvantages.
