In a method for actuating an injection valve for an internal combustion engine in which a voltage pulse is applied to a solenoid coil of the injection valve, a lower current than is required to open the injection valve flows through the solenoid coil prior to the voltage pulse. It is also preferable to feed a pulsed voltage to the solenoid coil before applying the voltage pulse. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zur Ansteuerung eines Einspritzventils für eine Brennkraftmaschine, wobei eine Magnetspule des Einspritzventils mit einem Spannungsimpuls beaufschlagt wird, fließt durch die Magnetspule vor dem Spannungsimpuls ein geringerer Strom, als zum Öffnen des Einspritzventils erforderlich ist. Dazu wird vorzugsweise der Magnetspule vor dem Anlegen des Spannungsimpulses eine pulsierende Spannung zugeführt.
