[origin: US4762095A] A fuel-exchange poppet valve of a reciprocating internal-combustion engine is actuated by two electromagnets that, in an alternating way, are energized periodically to attract an armature disk arranged between them. The armature disk is fastened at an armature that is coupled to a one-armed fuel-exchange poppet valve control lever. The control lever is pivotally moved back and forth against the spring tension of a torsional bar spring to open and close a poppet valve.
