Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0245696A1] 1. A transfer device for glove boxes comprising a transportable pot-shaped lock container, a tube-shaped lock insert secured in an opening in the wall of the glove box and adapted to receive the container, and a double cover assembly composed of an inner cover which closes the lock insert against the inside of the glove box, and of an outer cover which may be coupled thereto and which closes the lock container, the interspace between the two covers when coupled being tightened by means of a seal, characterized in that an arresting disk (34) is mounted on the inner cover (17) and may be rotated for a given angle about the axis (14) of the lock container (15), this disk being accessible from the inside of the glove box and being supplied with a handle (37) and with screw heads (19) by which screws (18) can be operated in order to connect the two covers (12, 17), that the lock container (5) also contains an arresting disk (28) which is located at the outside of the pot bottom (11) and which may be rotated by a given angle with respect to the lock container and which contains a handle (29) and screw heads (16) allowing to operate rods (15) extending through the cylindrical container parallelly to the axis (14) of the container up to the outer cover (12), thereby securing this cover with the container, that both disks (28, 34) are provided with slots and holes (27) of such a shape that the screws and rods can only be operated if the arresting disks are positioned in particular rotational terminal position corresponding to the safety requirements of the lock, and that the arresting disks (28, 34) are secured in the lock insert if they are in one of their terminal positions and can only be turned to the other terminal position, if the corresponding screws (18) or rods (15) are firmly put on.
