Abstract (en)

A tap, in particular suitable for domestic and plumbing applications, comprising a discharge tube (4-6), the two ends (5,7) of which are mutually parallel, the first end (5) being coupled to the body (1) of the tap leaktightly and so as to pivot about a substantially horizontal axis (b), and the second end (7) being coupled leaktightly and so as to pivot with respect to a discharge head (9) arranged in such a way as to deliver a jet (E) in a direction at least approximately perpendicular to the axis (d) of the coupling to the corresponding end (7) of the discharge tube. The discharge tube (4-6) can be telescopic in order to enable its effective length to be adjusted. This tap is particularly useful for sinks, wash-basins, bidets and the like, and it makes it possible to adjust the issuing point, the height and the inclination of the jet (E) delivered by the discharge head (9), thus offering the possibility of producing discharge modes which are not permitted by conventional taps. In particular, this tap can be used with very wide sinks or with sinks with two bowls or, in bidets, it makes it possible to produce an upwardly directed jet (so-called under-shower jet). <IMAGE>
