1. A tool such as a spanner or the like having a flat handle provided with a flange and comprising two identification plates (2, 4) of similar shape which are fixed one to the other via at least two perforations (14, 16) in the handle (18) of the tool so that they are applied one to either side of the handle and are guided laterally by the peripheral flange (20).
