[origin: EP0246388A1] 1. Briquetting press, which serves for the production of elongate briquettes from stock to be pressed, with a press space, characterised thereby, that the press space is bounded by a substantially horizontal trough (2d) in a matrix (2b), which is horizontally displaceable transversely to the longitudinal direction of the trough, a vertically displaceable die (5) serving for preliminary compaction and by compaction dies (7a, 8a) arranged at both end faces of the space formed by matrix and die, wherein means are present in order, when the die is drawn up, to fill the trough (2d) with the stock to be pressed and with means in order, when the die (5) is drawn up, to displace the matrix (2b) transversely to the longitudinal direction of the trough into a setting which serves for the ejection of the briquette as well as an ejector (9) in order to eject the briquette from the matrix.
