Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2578874A2] Metal pile planks presenting throughout their length a constant cross-section with a particular profile and having two complementary means which extend longitudinally and continuously from one transversal extremity to the other extremity of the pile plank, each of said two means being intended to co-operate with the complementary means of an adjacent pile plank, by longitudinal engagement in order to form, after said engagement, a continuous relatively tight longitudinal locking. In its Z cross-section, the pile plank of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a built-in corner piece (74) of the web (71) close to the wing (72), the free edge (75) of the corner piece being turned towards the wing (72), and in that its second wing (73) presents at its extremity a fold (76) turned towards the neutral axis (80) of the pile plank. Said pile plank is cold formed by shaping, for its small thicknesses, up to 12 mm, and by bending for thicknesses comprised between 12 and 32 mm.
