[origin: EP0247298A2] In the container carrier, in particular for bottles, cans or the like, the preferably single-part blank can be placed around a container in the manner of a cuff and forms two opposite wall portions, a bottom portion and a lid portion, openings bounded by webs being provided in the edge region between the wall portions and the lid portion or the bottom portion, into which openings the upper or lower edge of the container projects, the openings adjacent to the lower corners being crossed and bounded towards the corner by a web portion which is separated from the outer web portion by a separation incision and is separated from the wall portion or bottom portion on the side opposite the outer web portion approximately up to its ends by incisions starting from the opening in such a way that, when the blank is placed around the container, if appropriate supported by the assigned container, the inner web portion is swivelled and placed on the container wall. <IMAGE>
