[origin: US4765679A] A chair has a seat connected to the seat support (1) by means of a front guide rod (11). The seat includes front and rear seat portion (8) hinged to each other. The rear seat portion (8) is secured to the seat support (1) by means of a rigidly connected downwardly extending element to which one end of a second guide rod (16) is hinged by a bearing (17). The other end of the second guide rod is connected by another bearing (15) to a section (14) of the back rest support (3). The back rest support is hinged at the seat support (1). A force storage member (13) is connected by joints to both the seat support (1) and to the seat.

Ein Stuhl mit einem Sitzträger (1) weist einen Sitz auf, der über einen vorderen Lenker (11) mit dem Sitzträger (1) verbunden ist und aus einem vorderen Sitzteil (6) sowie einem daran angelenkten hinteren Sitzteil (8) besteht. Der hintere Sitzteil (8) ist über einen starr damit verbundenen, nach unten weisenden Ansatz am Sitzträger (1) befestigt. An dem Ansatz ist über ein Lager (17) ein Ende eines Lenkers (16) angelenkt, dessen anderes Ende über ein Lager (15) mit einem Bereich (14) des Rückenlehnenträgers (3) verbunden ist, der am Sitzträger (1) angelenkt ist. Ein Kraftspeicher (13) ist gelenkig einerseits mit dem Sitzträger (1) und andererseits mit dem Sitz verbunden.
