Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method for preparing derivatives of natural fats and oils, which is characterised in that fats which are solid at room temperature, or contain constituents which are solid at room temperature, their mixtures with free fatty acids, mono- and/or diglycerides are oxalkylated at increased temperatures with at least one 1,2-epoxide in the presence of basic catalysts, and the resulting reaction products are sulphonated in a manner known per se, if appropriate after epoxidation. The products are particularly suitable for use as leather greases.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Derivaten natürlicher Fette und Öle, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man bei Raumtemperatur feste bzw. feste Anteile enthaltende Fette, deren Gemische mit freien Fettsäuren, Mono- und/oder Diglyceriden bei erhöhten Temperaturen in Gegenwart von basischen Katalysatoren mit wenigstens einem 1,2-Epoxid oxalkyliert und die erhaltenen Umsetzungsprodukte, gegebenenfalls nach Epoxidierung, auf an sich bekannte Weise sulfiert. Die Produkte sind besonders zur Verwendung als Lederfettungsmittel geeignet.
