In the method for making an air/waste gas chimney for gas firing devices in buildings having at least two adjacent chimney flues, the two adjacent chimney flues are connected to one another via an overflow opening at the bottom of the chimney. One chimney flue is provided with openings for supplying combustion air to the individual gas firing devices, while the other chimney flue is provided with openings in each case for carrying away the waste gas. The top of the chimney flue for the waste gas is preferably raised in relation to the top of the chimney flue for the combustion air. Furthermore, if required the chimney flue for the waste gas is lined with a corrosion- resistant metal tube. The invention shows how, in a convenient way, connection possibilities for a large number of room air-independent gas firing devices can be provided retroactively in already existing buildings, namely by converting chimneys present in old buildings. This requires only minor structural alterations without any static problems. <IMAGE>

Bie dem Verfahren zur Schaffung eines Luft-Abgas-Schornstein es für Gasfeuerstätten in Altbauten mit mindestens zwei benachbarten Schornsteinzügen werden die zwei benachbarten Schornsteinzüge über eine Überströmöffnung an der Schornsteinsohle miteinander verbunden. Der eine Schornsteinzug wird mit Öffnungen für die Zufuhr von Verbrennungsluft zu den einzelnen Gasfeuerstätten versehen, während der andere Schornsteinzug jeweils Öffnungen zum Ableiten des Abgases erhält. Vorzugsweise wird der Kopf des Schornsteinzuges für das Abgas gegenüber dem Kopf des Schornsteinzuges für die Verbrennungsluft überhöht. Im übrigen wird bei Bedarf der Schornsteinzug für das Abgas mit einem korrosionsbeständigen Metallrohr ausgekleidet. - Die Erfindung zeigt einen günstigen Weg auf, wie in bereits bestehenden Bauten nachträglich noch Anschlußmöglichkeiten für eine Vielzahl raumluftunabhängiger Gasfeuerstätten geschaffen werden können, indem nämlich in Altbauten vorhandene Schornsteine umgenutzt werden. Dazu sind lediglich geringfügige bauliche Eingriffe erforderlich ohne irgendwelche statischen Probleme.
