Clamp using a screw, having a guide rail, a sliding piece displaceable along the same, and a fixed piece integrally formed on the guide rail and possessing, in the region of its free end, on the side facing the sliding piece, a pressure plate and, on the opposite side, a slope inclined towards the free end, a plastic protective cap attachable to the free end of the fixed piece being provided to permit mounting of the screw clamp on the fixed piece, which cap forms, on its outer side facing away from the sliding piece, a bearing surface projecting beyond the highest point of the slope of the fixed piece. <IMAGE>

Schraubzwinge (10) mit einer Führungsschiene (12), einem längs derselben verschiebbaren Gleitbügel (16) und einem an die Führungsschiene angeformten Festbügel (14), welcher im Bereich seines freien Endes auf der dem Gleitbügel zugewandten Seite eine Druckplatte (24) und auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite eine zum freien Ende zu abfallende Schräge (26) aufweist, wobei zur Ermöglichung eines Aufstellens der Schraubzwinge auf dem Festbügel eine auf das freie Ende des letzteren aufrastbare Kunststoff-Schutzkappe (32) vorgesehen ist, welche auf ihrer vom Gleitbügel abgewandten Aussenseite eine über den höchsten Punkt der Schräge des Festbügels überstehende Stützfläche bildet.
