Abstract (en)
Installation for reheating the liquid steel tapped from a transport ladle (3), which steel is fed to a continuous-casting distributing launder. In continuous-casting plants of this kind, the temperature of the liquid steel decreases slowly due to heat losses during casting. In order to avoid this, the intention is to provide an apparatus with which heating is possible without disturbing the liquid steel in the distributing launder. This is achieved in that the liquid steel is fed, for the purpose of intermediate heating, from the transport ladle (3) to a small, inductively heated crucible furnace (4) (about 1 to 1.5 t) and is passed from the crucible furnace (4) to the distributing launder (6). The heating power fed to the crucible furnace (4) can be influenced as a function of the temperature of the liquid steel emerging from the transport ladle (3) and/or of the liquid steel fed to the distributing launder (6). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Aufwärmeinrichtung für den eine Transportpfanne (3) verlassenden Flüssigstahl, der einer Stranggußverteilerrinne zugeführt wird. Bei derartigen Stranggußanlagen nimmt die Temperatur des Flüssigstahls durch Wärmeverluste während des Gießens langsam ab. Um dies zu vermeiden, soll eine Vorrichtung geschaffen werden, mit der eine Erwärmung möglich ist, ohne den Flüssigstahl in der Verteilerrinne zu beunruhigen. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß der Flüssigstahl aus der Transportpfanne (3) einem induktiv beheizten kleinen Tiegelofen (4) (ca. 1 bis 1,5t) zur Zwischenerwärmung zugeführt und von dem Tiegelofen (4) der Verteilerrinne (6) zugeleitet wird. Die dem Tiegelofen (4) zugeführte Heizleistung kann in Abhängigkeit von der Temperatur des aus der Transportpfanne (3) austretenden und/oder des der Verteilerrinne (6) zugeführten Flüssigstahls beeinflußt werden.
