1. Device for blowing-off excess coating material in the continuous two-sided coating of strip metal, in particular in the galvanizing of strip steel, with a compressed air admitting blow-off nozzle (1), arranged parallel to the strip metal surface (33), the nozzle gap (2) of which is formed by two mutually adjustable nozzle lips (4), the gap length of the blow-off nozzle (1) being greater than the width of the strip metal, characterized in that a cover element (11), guided by the blow-off nozzle (1), is provided, by which element the compressed air supply to the nozzle gap (2) can be covered in the region outside the gap length adapted in each case to the strip metal width.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Abblasen von überflüssigem Beschichtungsmaterial beim kontinuierlichen beidseitigen Beschichten von Metallband, insbesondere beim Verzinken von Stahlband, mit einer parallel zur Metallbandfläche (33) angeordneten, druckluftbeaufschlagten Abblasdüse (1), deren Düsenspalt (2) durch zwei gegeneinander verstellbare Düsenlippen (4) gebildet wird. Die Spaltlänge der Abblasdüse (1) ist größer als die Breite des Metallbandes. Es ist ein von der Abblasdüse (1) geführtes Abdeckelement (11) vorgesehen, durch das die Druckluftzufuhr zum Düsenspalt (2) im Bereich außerhalb der an die Metallbandbreite jeweils angepaßten Spaltlänge abdeckbar ist.
