Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0249678A2] 1. Warhead (10, 40, 60, 80) for combating actively armoured targets, the warhead having two active charges (18, 12) arranged in succession to each other and capable of being fired by detonators provided for the purpose, the front active charge (18) having a considerably smaller diameter than the rear main charge (12) and being provided for the purpose of destroying an interference device situated at the target in front of the main armouring of the target, while the rear main charge (12) of large calibre for penetration of the main armouring is constructed as a hollow charge with a liner (14) forming a hollow charge jet, a detonator (24, 86) and a tube (15) with a channel (16) wherein - the front active charge (18) has a projectile-forming liner (20) of flat conical shape, - for the detonation of the front active charge (18) the detonator (24, 86) is designed as a proximity fuse which, through a first control signal, brings about the detonation of the front active charge (18) at a preselectable distance in front of the target, after which - the detonation of the main charge (12) is effected by means of a second control signal.
