Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0249726A2] The cap is mounted so as to be swivellable about an axis extending approximately parallel to the direction of travel of the tank wagon. There is at least one closure arm provided which is mounted so as to be swivellable, secures the cap in its closed position and is likewise swivellable about an axis extending approximately parallel to the direction of travel. In this case, at least one first cam part is provided which during a relative movement in relation to the tank wagon swivels the closure arm counter to the effect of a spring element applied to it into a position, in which it is out of engagement with the cap. The latter is raised slightly by a spring element applied to it in the opening direction so that, during the further travelling movement of the tank wagon, a second cam part grips below the cap and swivels it upwards into its open position. Further cam elements may also be provided which bring the cap back into its closed position so that the closure arm can again assume a position, in which a radial projection mounted on it grips over the top of the cap and secures it in its closed position. <IMAGE>
