[origin: EP0249751A2] The invention relates to a damping solution concentrate consisting of a) 2.0 to 28.0 % by weight of a water-soluble, film-forming hydrophilic colloid, b) 5.0 to 25.0 % by weight of a water-soluble or water-miscible glycol with two to six C atoms, c) 0.5 to 15.0 % by weight of 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol, d) 0.02 to 15.0 % by weight of a pH-stabilising/buffer system consisting of a mixture of an organic acid and a water-soluble alkali metal salt of an organic acid and/or phosphoric acid, e) 5.0 to 32.0 % by weight of a water-soluble metal nitrate and f) 35 to 65% by weight of water.
