[origin: US4799319A] A device for warming the foot during walking which includes an inner sole defining a plurality of longitudinally communicating closed cavities which deform under compressive stress. The cavities each contain a fluid therein and a constriction is positioned between the cavities whereby heat is generated as the fluid passes through the constriction during alternating application of stresses on the cavities during walking.
