[origin: US4732994A] This invention relates to a method for stabilizing organopolysiloxane oils containing triorganosiloxy groups in their terminal units, in which the organopolysiloxane oils are contacted with compounds having the formulas: R3'SiX or (R3'Si)2Y, where R' represents the same or different hydrocarbon radicals having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and halogenated hydrocarbon radicals having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; X is a halogen atom, a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or a monovalent radical that consists of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and from 0 to 6 carbon atoms and which is bonded to the silicon atom via an oxygen or a nitrogen atom; Y is a divalent radical selected from the group consisting of an oxygen atom, an NH radical, an NR'' radical, or a divalent radical consisting of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and from 0 to 6 carbon atoms, which is bonded to the silicon atoms via oxygen and/or nitrogen atoms; and R'' is a hydrocarbon radical having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms. These stabilized oils may be used as power transmission fluids, especially in viscous clutches.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Stabilisieren von in den endständigen Einheiten Triorganosiloxy-Gruppen enthaltenden Organopolysiloxanölen, in dem man die genannten Organopolysiloxanöle mit Verbindungen der Formel R ?SiX oder (R ?Si)2Y in Kontakt bringt, wobei in den obigen Formeln R' gleiche oder verschiedene,gegebenenfalls halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffreste mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, und X und Y die in Anspruch 1 angegebenen Bedeutungen haben. Die so stabilisierten Öle eignen sich als Kraftübertragungsöle, insbesondere in Visco-Kupplungen.
