[origin: US4869786A] The invention relates to a process and to an air classifier for the separation of classifying material into coarse material and fine material. Known air classifiers suffer from considerable deficiencies with regards to the throughput and the separation efficiency. To avoid this, the invention provides for the performance of a separate reclassification, which takes place in the same way as the pre-classification, whilst incorporating mechanical centrifugal rejection of coarse material particles, particularly through the impact ledges of a centrifuge basket.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und einen Windsichter zur Trennung eines Sichtgutes in Grobgut und Feingut. Bekannte Windsichter weisen im Hinblick auf die Durchsatzleistung und die Trennschärfe noch erhebliche Mängel auf. Die Erfindung geht dies zu vermeiden den Weg, eine separate Nachsichtung (2) durchzuführen, wobei die Nachsichtung (2) selbst in analoger Weise wie die Vorsichtung (1) unter Einbeziehung einer mechanischen Zentrifugalabweisung von Grobgutpartikeln, insbesondere durch die Schlagleisten (21) eines Schleuderkorbes (14), erfolgt.
