The laundry drier (1) exhibits switching means (17, 18) which are composed of an operating part (7; 7') and a contact gap part (10; 10') and when the switching means (17, 18) is operated, the operation of the laundry drier (1) is actuated. One part of the switching means (17, 18) is provided at the lint filter (6; 6') and the other part is provided at the housing (2).
