[origin: EP0250873A2] In the case of a driving speed adjustment device of a motor vehicle with a set point pickup, which is connected to an accelerator pedal, and with an adjustment device, which is controllable by the set point pickup and acts on an element influencing the ratio of the fuel-air mixture fed to the motor vehicle's engine, preferably an engine throttle valve, a load cycle device is fitted between the set point pickup and the adjustment device to reduce the bucking of the motor vehicle's engine during the load cycle of the motor vehicle's engine, said load cycle device adjusting the element step-by-step in delayed stages for any change in the set point corresponding to a load cycle of the motor vehicle's engine. <IMAGE>
