Abstract (en)
[origin: DE3721343A1] Apparatus for the spinning of threads from roving. Spinning stations are arranged on a spinning machine, the rovings to be drafted being capable of being fed from a common double-sliver bobbin to two respective adjacent spinning stations, hereafter called a pair of spinning stations. To reduce roving losses and the risk of the formation of laps on drafting-unit rollers, the two spinning stations of each pair of spinning stations are assigned at least one stopping device for stopping and restarting the roving feed to the two drafting units of the respective pair of spinning stations, which stopping device can be triggered by each of the two thread-break sensors of this pair of spinning stations for the purpose of stopping rovings simultaneously. For the same purpose, provision can also be made for an elimination of a thread break to be carried out by a thread-piecing carriage only when this is not opposed by at least one reason preventing the success of the elimination of the thread break.
