[origin: EP0251396A1] A branch connector for coaxial cable comprising an elongated circular cylindrical housing (1) of electrically conductive material and a supporting disc of insulation material inserted therein. The cylindrical housing (1) has at least one tooth (5) adapted to penetrate and electrically contact the outer conductor of a coaxial cable received in a feed-through channel of the housing. The supporting disc has a projecting pin (12) adapted to penetrate and electrically contact the inner conductor of the coaxial cable. A clamping element with a screwed sleeve (19) and a corresponding feed-through channel (25) fits over the cylindrical housing (1). A screw cap (20) couples with the screwed sleeve (19) for contacting and firmly retaining the cable in the feed-through channel.
