Supporting element (2) for supporting the slats (1) of a slatted frame, being made of elastomeric material with a holding element (4) for the spring slat (1) which holding element is arranged at the top of the said supporting element, and with diverging side walls (5, 6; 5a, 6a; 5b, 6b) which enclose a hollow space and which follow on from the holding element in a downward direction and lead into a mounting part (7, 7b) for securing to the grid frame (3), the mounting part (7, 7b) being made of a rigid material in which the lower ends of the diverging side walls (5, 6; 5a, 6a; 5b, 6b) are adapted to be secured positively in such a manner as to allow adjustment, such adjustment varying the angle alpha enclosed by the side walls (5, 6; 5a, 6a; 5b, 6b), characterised in that between the mounting part (7) and the end of at least one side wall (5, 5a, 5b) there is provided a slide (8) which accommodates the free end of the side wall (5, 5a, 5b) and which, guided by the mounting part (7, 7b), is arrestable in various positions, whereby that end of the side wall (5, 5a, 5b) which is supported by the slide (8) can be adjusted in the horizontal direction and secured in the adjusted position.
