Abstract (en)
An area-covering omnidirectional loudspeaker is specified, the sound cone of which consists of two rotationally symmetric, convex shells pointing in opposite directions with a common vertical axis of rotation. Several sound ducts, which are integrally connected to the relevant shell and which together continue the sound cone formed by the two shells without discontinuities to the rear to where the loudspeaker systems are attached and which carry pressure chamber loudspeaker systems at their free ends open into one of the two shells. The shells can be simply pushed onto a standing pipe encircling their axis of rotation. In this manner, several sound cones and individual shells which cover the entire loudspeaker at the top and bottom can be easily arranged above one another, other edges of the shells which come into contact with one another being joined. <IMAGE>

Es wird ein flächendeckend rundstrahlender Lautsprecher angegeben, dessen Schalltrichter aus zwei rotationssymmetrischen, konvexen und gegeneinanderweisend angeordneten Schalen mit gemeinsamer senkrechter Rotationsachse besteht. In eine der beiden Schalen münden mehrere an ihren freien Enden Druckkammerlautsprechersysteme tragende Schallkanäle, die einstückig mit der betreffenden Schale verbunden sind und die zusammen den von den beiden Schalen gebildeten Schalltrichter bis zum Ansatz der Lautsprechersysteme nach rückwärts stoßstellenfrei fortsetzen. Die Schalen können einfach auf ein ihre Rotationsachse umfassendes Standrohr aufgeschoben werden. Auf diese Weise können leicht mehrere Schalltrichter und einzelne Schalen, die den gesamten Lautsprecher oben und unten abdecken, übereinander angeordnet werden, wobei sich berührende äußere Ränder der Schalen verbunden werden.
