[origin: EP0252465A2] A tracked vehicle for transporting heavy loads, especially for open-pit mining, comprises a frame (1), on the two sides of which the tracks (3) are arranged and in which are seated hydraulic lifting cylinders (10) which support a lifting platform (12) secured against displacement forces by means of a wobble bearing (13, 14) which is guided so as to be upwardly and downwardly moveable. Situated on the frame (1) at or near the centre of gravity of the tracked vehicle is a rotatably movable foot (19) which can be extended downwards and on which at least part of the weight of the tracked vehicle can be supported. The lifting cylinder (21) used for this purpose is arranged in an articulated manner on an axis (23) which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the frame and can be swivelled by means of an actuating cylinder (24), so that the frame (1), together with the tracks (3), can be moved above the extended foot (19) in the transverse direction. A tracked vehicle of this type can rotate on the spot and can correct its position. <IMAGE>
