[origin: EP0252781A2] The method of mounting involves the use of a striker which can be adjusted by compression springs. The opening (15) of the striker is adapted to receive the lock bolt and is defined between a force plate (9) and a mounting plate (1) used for attachment to the jamb (2). The screws used to attach the mounting plate (1) to the jamb (2) are metal screws (4, 4', 4'') which engage with threaded inserts (25, 18, 18') fixed securely into or onto the jamb (2). The inactive part of the lock bolt (36b) engages with the striker and is flanged by a clamp (41) which is adjustable in height. The locking of the "knurled" screws makes it possible, from the inside, to make the lock inoperative by blocking the bolt. <IMAGE>
