[origin: WO8704141A1] Device for separating packets of sheets (40) forming a pile wherein the packets of sheets are alternatingly offset to one side and to the other, comprising a lifting table (16) for supporting the pile of packets of sheets and a displaceable separator element (30) which moves reciprocatingly along a top edge of the pile so as to introduce it between the top packet of the pile and the packet which is immediately under and to lift one edge of the top packet sufficiently to allow a gripper (34) to seize the packet. The invention applies particularly to the separation of packets of sheets forming books at the output end of a fast printing machine.

Dispositif de séparation de paquets de feuilles (40) formant une pile dans laquelle les paquets de feuilles sont alternativement décalés d'un côté et de l'autre, comprenant une table élévatrice (16) de support de la pile de paquets de feuilles et un élément séparateur (30) déplaçable en mouvement alternatif le long d'un bord supérieur de la pile pour s'introduire entre le paquet supérieur de la pile et le paquet immédiatement inférieur et soulever un bord du paquet supérieur, suffisamment pour qu'une pince (34) puisse venir le saisir. L'invention s'applique notamment à la séparation des paquets de feuilles formant des livres à la sortie d'une imprimante rapide.
