1. Sub-calibre projectile with a projectile body (1) having a projectile casing (2) which houses an explosive charge (5) and which is located between the tail unit (3) and the nose (4) of the projectile and which is externally embraced by a sabot (6), at least one fragmentation casing (11) being provided in the zone which houses explosive charge (5) between a circularly cylindrical internal surface of the sabot (6) and the external surface of the projectile casing (2), the casing being supported axially at both ends by shoulders (10, 16) on the projectile body (1) and being positioned flush with the said projectile body (1), and having peripheral positive interlocking means (17) arranged to engage with corresponding positive interlocking means on the circular cylindrical internal surface of the sabot (6).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein unterkalibriges Geschoß mit einem Geschoßkörper (1), der eine eine Sprengladung (5) aufnehmende, zwischen Leitwerk und Geschoßspitze befindliche Geschoßhülle (2) aufweist, die außenseitig von einem Treibkäfig (7) umgeben ist. Um den Masseanteil von Konstruktionssplittern zu erhöhen und diesen in großen Grenzen variieren zu können, ist vorgesehen, daß zwischen der kreiszylindrischen Außenfläche der Geschoßhülle und der kreiszylindrischen Innenfläche des Treibkäfigs (7) im Aufnahmebereich der Sprengladung (5) wenigstens eine Splitterhülse (11) angeordnet ist, die axial beidseitig durch Schultern des Geschoßkörpers abgestützt und bündig zum Geschoßkörper angeordnet ist.
