[origin: US4771741A] A roller type tappet body has a tappet, a lock pin type guide member, and axial guide grooves which cooperate with one another to secure the body against rotation, an axial guide groove in the cylindrical tappet bore that guides the tappet body into the cylinder block or head being formed from the remaining part of a small longitudinally extending bore that is initially bored and subsequently opened by the boring of the larger cylindrical tappet bore to form a semicircular cross-section, the guide member being secured to the tappet body and formed with a round or partly round cross-section from a cover plate for a portion of the tappet assembly.

Bei einer Rollenstößelanordnung mit Verdrehsicherung, insbesondere für Brennkraftmaschinen, mit einem in einer Stößelbohrung im Zylinderblock bzw im Zylinderkopf geführten Stößelkörper, wobei am Zylinderblock bzw. am Zylinderkopf und am Stößelkörper Führungsteile bzw. axiale Führungsnuten ausgebildet sind, die miteinander zusammenwirken, ist eine axiale Führungsnut (14) in der den Stößelkörper führenden zylindrischen Stößelbohrung (4) im Zylinderblock (3) bzw im Zylinderkopf (3) vorgesehen und aus dem verbliebenen Teil einer längslaufenden kleinen Bohrung gebildet, die durch die zylindrische Stößelbohrung (4) zu einem halbrundem Querschnitt geöffnet ist und am Stößelkörper (6) ist ein Führungsteil (16) mit rundem oder teilrundem Querschnitt festgelegt, der mit der Führungsnut (14) zusammenwirkt.
