A prefabricated building element with a flat portion (17, 18) which is connectable to fixed brickwork (15) by means of vibration-damping, especially soundinsulating, elements (21) leaving a peripheral air gap (16), characterised in that the flat portion (17, 18) is surrounded about at least part of its periphery at a distance corresponding to the width of the air gap (16) by a frame portion (19, 20) which is intended to be firmly anchored in or onto the brickwork (15), wherein the vibration-damping elements (21) are embedded at one end in the frame portion (19, 20) and at the other end in the flat portion (17, 18), and wherein the air gap (16) is sealed from the outside by means of a permanently flexible joint packing (22).
