[origin: US4746777A] A vacuum switching tube comprises a simply-constructed housing which is established in that cap-like metal portions are soldered blunt to the end faces of a ceramic portion, in that the metal parts comprise a cylindrical region of reduced wall thickness in the region of the ceramic parts, in that a step is formed in the inner wall at the transition to the thick-wall region to the thin-wall region, in that a vapor shield comprises an expanded edge region, and in that the edge region lies against the thin-wall cylindrical region and against the step and is soldered thereto. The tube is suitable for vacuum switching tubes in which the temperature coefficient of the metal portions is not matched to the temperature coefficient of the ceramic portion.

Eine Vakuumschaltröhre mit einem einfach aufgebauten Gehäuse (1) ist gegeben, indem kappenartige Metallteile (4, 5) auf die Stirnflächen eines Keramikteiles (6) stumpf aufgelötet sind, indem die Metallteile (4, 5) im Bereich der Keramikteile (6) einen Zylinderbereich (7) verringerter Wandstärke aufweisen, indem beim Übergang zum dickwandigen Bereich (11) eine Stufe (8) in der Innenwand gebildet ist, indem ein Dampfschirm (9) einen erweiterten Randbereich (10) besitzt und indem dieser Randbereich (10) am dünnwandigen Zylinderbereich (7) und an der Stufe (8) anliegt und dort verlötet ist. Die Erfindung eignet sich für Vakuumschaltröhren, in denen der Temperaturkoeffizient der Metallteile nicht an den Temperaturkoeffizienten des Keramikteiles angepaßt ist.
