Abstract (en)
The steel strip (2) acts as a cathode facing a series of anodes (5, 6), while a stream of electrolyte carrying zinc is circulated between the cathode and the anodes (5', 6'). Each anode (5', 6') is fed independently of the others and the quantity of current passing through each anode (5', 6') is adjusted to obtain, from each of them, the same electrolysis current density at all points, in order to obtain on the strip (2) a zinc deposit of a compact, monooriented crystalline structure. The invention also relates to an apparatus for applying this process. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un procédé d'électrozingage d'une bande d'acier (2) jounat le rôle de cathode en face d'une série d'anodes (5, 6), tandis qu'on fait circuler entre la cathode et les anodes (5', 6') un flot d'électrolyte chargé de zinc. On alimente chaque anode (5', 6') indépendamment des autres et on règle la quantité de courant traversant chaque anode (5', 6') pour obtenir, à partir de chacune d'elles, une même densité du courant d'électrolyse en tous points, afin d'obtenir sur la bande (2) un dépôt de zinc à structure cristalline mono-orientée compacte. L'invention concerne aussi une installation pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé
