[origin: US4770749A] The coke oven door is provided with a sealing diaphragm which has a sealing strip which comes to engagement with the frame which defines the chamber of the coke oven when the door closes, a plurality of pressure elements each including a housing and an adjustable spring to apply a force to the sealing strip to tightly seal the door in the closed position. The door has a number of radial projections that have cast bores, receiving threaded bolts extending through a common cross-piece to which the housing of the pressure elements are also secured. Counter nuts are mounted on the threaded bolts to adjustably secure the position of the cross-piece and thus the housings of the pressure elements secured thereto, and thereby adjust the force applied by the spring to the sealing strip.

Diese weist eine Membrandichtung (16) auf, deren Dichtleiste (14) mittels am Türkörper (1) befestigter Andruckelemente (11) am Kammerrahmen (15) zur Anlage kommt, wobei die Andruckelemente (11) jeweils aus einem Gehäuse (10) mit darin angeordneter einstellbarer Feder (12) und einem von diesem belasteten Andruckstück (13) bestehen. Es ist vorgesehen, daß der Türkörper (1) auf seinem Umfang angegossene Nocken (2) mit darin befindlichen roh gegossenen Durchgangslöchern (3) aufweist, in die Gewindebolzen (4) eingesetzt und darin verschraubt sind. Zwei oder mehr Gewindebolzen (4) sind hierbei durch einen von diesen durchsetzten Step (7) miteinander verbunden, an dem die Gehäuse (10) von einem oder mehreren Andruckelementen (11) befestigt sind.
