Abstract (en)

1. A stabilizer for deep-well drilling tools, consisting of a basic body (1) with stabilizer fins or ribs (2) which are arranged helically over its circumference and which define mud flues (3) between them and have wear-resistant outer surfaces (4) which come into contact with the wall of the well and comprise a main region (5) and a marginal region adjacent to the mud flues (3), the main region (5) being described by an envelope (7) axially symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the stabilizer, characterised in that the marginal region (6) of the stabilizer ribs facing in the direction (13) of the bottom of the well forms a transition region which is drawn inwards in relation to the envelope (7).

Der Stabilisator für Tiefbohrwerkzeuge besteht aus einem Grundkörper (1) mit auf seinem Umfang spiralförmig angeordneten Stabilisatorflossen (2), die zwischen sich Spülungskanäle (3) begrenzen und mit der Bohrlochwand in Berührung kommende, verschleißfeste Außenflächen (4) besitzen. Die Außenflächen (4) haben einen Hauptbereich (5) und an die Spülungskanäle (3) angrenzende Randbereiche, wobei der Hauptbereich (5) durch eine zur Längsachse des Stabilisators rotationssymmetrische Umhüllende (7) beschrieben ist. Zur Vermeidung eines Blockierens des Stabilisators oder eines Abtragens der Formation bei reiner Längsverschiebung des Stabilisators bildet der in Richtung (13) auf die Bohrlochsohle weisende Randbereich (6) einen gegenüber der Umhüllenden (7) nach innen eingezogenen Übergangsbereich (6).
