[origin: US4878593A] A pack for flowable material, includes a tube (1) having at least one longitudinal seam, with a base and a lid (2) mounted at its ends. The lid (2) is made of thermoplastics material without any base material, is welded to the tube (1) and has a pouring device (8). The tube (1) is made of base material such as cardboard, coated with thermoplastics material on at least one side. The lid (2) is a separate, prefabricated part fitted by means of a flange (5) engaging round the top edge (6) of the tube (1) and welded to the edge (6). This lid (2) has a part (21) of its surface at a lower level than its outer surface, with part of the lower level surface (21) extending near to the edge (6) of the tube, in such a way that the lid (2) engages round the edge (6) of the tube substantially in a U shape in the region of said part (21 ) of the lower level surface.

Beschrieben wird eine Fließmittelpackung mit einem durch eine Längssiegelnaht gebildeten Tubus (1), an dessen Enden Boden und Deckel (2) angebracht sind, von denen der Deckel (2) aus thermoplastischem Material ohne Trägermaterial besteht, am Tubus (1) angeschweißt ist und eine Ausgießeinrichtung (8) aufweist, wobei der Tubus (1) aus beidseitig mit thermoplastischem Kunststoff beschichtetem Karton besteht. Zur Vereinfachung der Herstellung des Deckels mit guten Gießeigenschaften und flüssigkeitsdichter Anbringung ist vorgesehen, daß der Deckel (2) als vorgefertigtes, separates Teil mittels eines den oberen Rand (6) des Tubus (1) umgreifenden Flansches (5) aufgesetzt und mit dem Rand (6) verschweißt ist und eine gegenüber der Außenkontur tieferliegende Teilfläche (21) aufweist, welche teilweise an den Tubusrand (6) derart herangeführt ist, daß der Deckel (2) den Tubusrand (6) im Bereich der Teilfläche (21) U-förmig umgreift.
