[origin: EP0254979A2] In the mixer, the mixing chamber (5), closed by a cover (6), of the mixing vessel is divided by a coaxial annular wall (7) into an inner space (5a) and an outer space (5b) and, in the mixing vessel, a shaft with mixer blades (11) is arranged which extend across the vessel bottom (3) through an annular gap (10) into the outer space (5b). The annular wall (7) can be completely withdrawn from the mixing chamber (5) relative to the stationary cover (6), whereby possible cleaning methods and uses of the mixer are favoured. <IMAGE>
