An ink jet printer with an electro-thermal transducer having an associated trigger arrangement features a print head which is arranged in an exchangeable manner via a holding device on a printer carriage. The print head is supplied with ink through the holding device from a feed container stationary relative to the printer and the holding device features an ink coupling mechanism which is so designed that, on placing the print head in the holding device, the ink supply is opened and contact is made with the trigger arrangement and that on removal of the print head from the holding device, the ink supply is interrupted in a drip-free manner. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Tintendruckeinrichtung mit einem elektrothermische Wandler (17) mit zugeordneter Ansteueranordnung aufweisenden Tintendruckkopf, der über eine Halterung auswechselbar auf einem Druckerwagen (10) angeordnet ist. Der Tintendruckkopf (11) wird über die Halterung aus einem stationär dem Drucker zugeordneten Vorratsbehälter (29) mit Tinte versorgt, wobei die Halterung einen Tintenkoppelmechanismus mit Verschluß- und Kontaktmechanismus aufweist, der derart ausgestaltet ist, daß beim Einsetzen des Tintenkopfes in die Halterung die Tintenzufuhr (28) geöffnet und die Ansteueranordnung kontaktiert und beim Entfernen des Tintendruckkopfes aus der Halterung die Tintenzufuhr (28) nachlaufsicher unterbrochen wird.
